32 Unit Housing Development
Cherry Pie Lane, Sparkford is a development providing 32 new dwellings, 14 of which will be taken by an affordable housing provider for rent and shared ownership tenure.
4D Architects Studio worked on behalf of a national house builder to produce a detailed working drawings package, working to a tight timeframe allowing work to commence on site in November 2020 as intended. All units are constructed in timber frame and utilise energy efficient air source heat pumps for the main supply of their heating and hot water. This technology will result in a high EPC rating which is a particular requirement of affordable housing provider, who’s units will also incorporate photovoltaic cells to further reduce the utility bills of their occupants.
As part of our appointment we will continue to provide on-site support and assistance to the house building until the schemes intended completion in January 2022. The national house builder has since appointed us to undertake a similar service for a further 32 housing units, also in Somerset.
