Lee Cheetham BA[hons] MArch PG Cert ARB RIBA

Director / Chartered Architect

An RIBA Chartered Architect, Lee co-founded 4D Architect Studio in 2019 having previously worked as an associate for an established South West based practice for a number of years.

An RIBA Chartered Architect, Lee co-founded 4D Architect Studio in 2019 having previously worked as an associate for an established South West Based practice for a number of years.

With over 15 years’ experience in architecture Lee has amassed a wealth of knowledge and expertise in the industry especially within the residential sector. Lee has experience working on a wide range of projects including bespoke one-off houses, large residential developments, commercial, retail & industrial development as well as large, award winning Extra Care facilities.

Lee has a keen interest in early stage design development, concept design and spatial arrangement & connectivity. Lee’s design approach focuses on good design and pragmatism.

Away from the office Lee enjoys spending time with his family , Lee is also a keen musician and enjoys designing and building his own instruments.

Ben Warren MCIAT

Director / Chartered Architectural Technologist

Ben is a Chartered Architectural Technologist with over 20 years’ experience in the construction industry. Ben co-founded 4D Architects Studio in 2019 following a number of years working for established local practices.

Ben is a Chartered Architectural Technologist with over 20 years’ experience in the construction industry. Ben co-founded 4D Architects Studio in 2019 following a number of years working for established local practices.

With experience of working on projects of varying size and complexity across the South West and beyond Ben has developed a knowledge base that covers all aspects of the construction process.

Ben has been responsible for the delivery of multiple projects including a number of award-winning schemes and has amassed a wealth of experience managing and running projects of all sizes.  Ben has worked across many sectors within the industry and has been involved in a variety of projects with differing construction methodologies including offsite prefabrication and modular construction.

Ben currently sits on the South West area committee for the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists and mentors’ junior members of staff aspiring to achieve Chartered status.

Ben has a passion for construction detailing, technology and modern methods of construction with a focus on efficiency and cost-effective design.

When not working Ben enjoys the outdoors, socialising and is a very keen golfer.

Andy James BSc (Hons)

Senior Architectural Technician

Andy joined 4D Architects Studio in October 2021, he previously worked for an established South West based practice for 3 years following his relocation from Suffolk in 2018.

Andy joined 4D Architects Studio in October 2021, he previously worked for an established South West based practice for 3 years following his relocation from Suffolk in 2018.

With over 12 years of experience in the construction industry Andy has worked on a diverse range of architectural projects from small extensions and bespoke houses to large scale multi-unit developments.

Andy enjoys ensuring the smooth delivery of projects from design and detail development, specification and construction through to completion on site.

Away from the office Andy enjoys spending time with his family and is a keen surfer.

Katie Mes BA[hons] MArch

Part II Architectural Designer

Katie joined 4D Architects Studio in July 2020 following successful completion of her Master of Architecture studies at Cardiff University.

Katie joined 4D Architects Studio in July 2020 following successful completion of her Master of Architecture studies at Cardiff University.

Having worked for a number of practices across the South West, Katie has gained experience working on projects of varying size and complexity, this has allowed Katie to gain experience working at all RIBA Workstages and across multiple sectors.

Katie has a passion for design development and concept design, determined by materiality and spatial forms. Her recent studies explored the use of waste as a construction material and therefore led to a keen drive in sustainable design. Her interests in tectonics have increased her knowledge and skills in detailed design.

Katie is currently focused on expanding her knowledge and expertise with a view of working towards becoming a Chartered Architect.

In her free time Katie enjoys travelling, paddleboarding, art classes and socialising with friends .

Brogan Mae Paton BSc (Hons) MCIAT

Chartered Architectural Technologist

Brogan joined 4D Architects Studio in January 2022 after 3 years' experience in the industry whilst completing her Bachelor's degree in Architectural Engineering at the University of Plymouth.

Brogan joined 4D Architects Studio in January 2022 after 3 years’ experience in the industry whilst completing her Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Engineering at the University of Plymouth.

After working for a number of practices in the South West region, Brogan has gained experience working on varying project sizes and sectors giving her experience working in across all RIBA Workstages.

Brogan has a keen interest in the technical side of a project, working with 3D modelling software and seeing projects through from planning to completion stages.

Currently Brogan is working towards becoming a chartered member of the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists.

In her free time, Brogan enjoys spending time with her family and baking cakes and other treats.

Kelly Vinecombe

Architectural Assistant

Kelly is an architectural assistant with a keen interest in construction and technical detailed design. Following a number of years working for a South West based practice Kelly joined 4D Architect Studio when it was founded in 2019.

Kelly is an architectural assistant with a keen interest in construction and technical detailed design. Following a number of years working for a South West based practice Kelly joined 4D Architect Studio when it was founded in 2019.

During her time in architecture Kelly has developed a wealth of experience working on numerous residential developments of varying sizes and complexities.

Kelly has experience working across all RIBA Workstages with a keen focus and expertise on stages 4 & 5.

As well as technical design Kelly has amassed vast experience and expertise working with 3D modelling software and is responsible for managing the practices modelling and drawing protocols.

Kelly is currently working towards becoming a chartered member of the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists.

In her free time Kelly enjoys music, reading, the outdoors, swimming and paddleboarding.
